Hi all,

the Victorian F16 State Titles will be held at Somers Y.C. 15/16 Nov.

This is a great location on Western Port Bay at a very friendly club that has lots of cats, recently ran the Tornado Asia Pacific Titles. We will be joining the Mosquito's who will be having their State Spinnaker Titles at the same time, along with club races on the Saturday. So this will keep costs down to $30. You will need to be a current Australian F16 association member, so if you haven't joined yet do it now. Links are at the top of this Forum.

Will post the link to Notice of Race shortly. Which will include some accomodation options.

Hi all,

its on this weekend. Goodalls Viper and FCA Blade will be there, both 2 up. At least that is the plan <img src="<>/wink.gif" alt="wink" title="wink" height="15" width="15" /> Hopefully some Taipans and lots of Mossies. Current forecast looks windy Saturday, less on Sunday. Racing start at Somers Y.C. 2.30pm Sat.

Should be a great weekend with action like the attached photo from this years OZ Wildcat.

Forecast for Sunday

Hi all,

just to let anybody going along that is expecting to see the FCA Blade know, you won't see it. I broke a centreboard at McCrae and don't have a replacement one yet. Sometimes things just don't go to plan.

Will still be going to present prizes and spectate though, so see you there.

Hi all,

well Vic F16 titles have been run and won.

Congratulations to Greg and Brett Goodall on the Viper the 08/09 season champs. With Tim Shepperd 2nd on his Mosquito and Neil Joiner 3rd on another Mosquito.

Saturday racing was postponed and then cancelled as the wind increased. (But I had a great afternoon sailboarding)

Sunday 5 races where completed, in 12 to 20 kts and lumpy seas, with the Viper winning all as expected. The Mossie F16 members had a great tussle for second with Tim coming up trumps after Neil was unusualy generous handing him the lead of race 4 when he tipped in sight of the finish line. Peter also had moments of glory being next behind the Viper at the first mark on a number of occasions and Matt K continued to improve through out and will be a threat when his Taipan hits the water.

I spent the day taking photo's from the rescue boat (yes some will be posted soon). The highlight for me was watching some close racing amongst the Mossie swarm, all 9 of them. Also fine crew work from the Goodalls and seeing them make one slip upwind, which saw Greg hanging upside down from trap after they fell of a wave upwind and Brett like the good son he is got out of the way as dad fell forward, dropping the mainsheet in the process. Good to see they are not infallible.

Regards Gary.

The goodalls :

Father and son going at it on a F16 and doing very well, for this epitomizes the F16 concept.

Simple Brilliant !

It is also very good to see the vernerable Mossies still doing so well.

Simply Impressive !
