[#18481]

On the 30th of September the round of Tiengemeten will be raced for the 27th time, this a great event and I'm told that it is europe's largest freshwater race.
On list of competitors you can see that there is 1 Stealth, 1 Blade and 1 Spitfire, so my question, will there be more F16's?
Take a look at the site Tiengemeten and sign up (I know it's at last notice, but still possible)
Hope to see some of you there!

Entry listing is nu :

-1- Geert Ruesink, Karin Weeda Blade F16
-2- hans verhaeghe, gudrun degroeve spitfire
-3- Martien Kooyman, Frank van Marle Bim 16 met Spi 2-up
-4- Bard Louis Lonneke, Stark stealth F16

This is getting pretty interesting.

I know a 5th boat is planning attend.

That 5th boat probably will be Hans Klok on his Blade F16 I presume?
When I ordered my Blade he told me he would be there.
The 6th boat is a Spitfire of Robert Feddes.

I'll be sailing there with my brother for the last time on the RAGBAK(nacra6.0 + spi 358) and have a great weekend overthere.

So the listing becomes :

-1- Geert Ruesink, Karin Weeda Blade F16
-2- hans verhaeghe, gudrun degroeve spitfire
-3- Martien Kooyman, Frank van Marle Bim 16 met Spi 2-up
-4- Bard Louis Lonneke, Stark stealth F16
-5- Robert Feddes. Spitfire

-6- Hans Klok. Blade F16 (planning to come out)

My own participation is tentative. I was planning to have my boat in winterstorage at that time, but this is becoming to be an attractive crowd.

Well Wouter, winterstorage can wait, it would be great to have you there as well <img src=

If you see a cat called RAGBAK stay well out of its way, it's dangerous <img src=

I hope there will be more F16's out there, it's a great event.

You know, my participation at Lake Eustis FL was tentative. I know TWO f16s are now out of that race due to both skippers will be racing an f18. We will have FOUR boats. To me that is enough motivation to drive 5+ hours north, leaving friday night at 12am and arriving in the morning to setup and then race.

You are saying you are TENTATIVE and you have seven boats guaranteed! WHAT THE [censored] Wouter. Get out there and sail man! [censored] storing the boat so early. Its only MID September.

All things relative, I didn't preregister for Tiengemeten because if the weather is bad I'll have driven 2 hours for nothing.
I plan on being there though...

The fact that I have to do a 90 minute grading talk with a professor about Advanced Modelling Techniques some where early october makes my participation tentative. That is after completing an assignment beforehand.

So sorry guys, but my carreer takes precedence over a catamaran race. That is just the way it is, till late 2007.

Body double for who exactly? <img src=

alt=

Putting the boat in winter storage before november or the first snow, whichever comes first, speak of lacking motivation. (joke)

-1- Geert Ruesink, Karin Weeda Blade F16
-2- hans verhaeghe, gudrun degroeve spitfire
-3- Martien Kooyman, Frank van Marle Bim 16 met Spi 2-up
-4- Bard Louis Lonneke, Stark stealth F16
-5- Robert Feddes. Spitfire
-6- Jaap Haasnoot and son Blade F16

-7- Hans Klok. Blade F16 (planning to come out)

My participation is out of the question.

I sorted out my schedule for the next 4 weeks. And what you know right at the Tiengemeente weekend I have :

-1- A big birthday party of a 40 year old friend on friday evening 29 step (as in rented a big hall and invited everybody)

-2- Big 40 year jubilee party of Zandvoort sailing club on saterday 30 sept

-3- Tuesday 3 okt I have both the autumn meeting of my sailing club and I'm going to the musical

the Wiz

. Both at the same time.

And somewhere in between I need to get my boat of the beach as the club will be packed in for the winter and find some time to relax so I survive the week of work that follows this weekend.

I'm certainly NOT going to drag my boat down to the event on friday then hurry back to get myself drunk in the evening at the birthday party then drive down early on saterday morning, race a distance race on saterday then hurry back for the second all-night party then drive back down to the event site on sundag morning to pick up my boat and put it in winter storage, then get some sleep and work on monday and tuesday to be all smiles on tuesday evening again.

Sorry guys. That is just a little to much with the planning I have the week before and after (which I didn't write down yet)

Good luck to you all.

Wouter

EXCUSES! I thought it was a USA thing. I see that is not the case. Infact it is a international passtime!

Shame - there's a small chance that I might make it. I may be in Amsterdam the following week for work, and the ferry is a similar cost to flying so I can probably expense it <img src=

alt=

/>

We might just make it 4 Blades. Now, what's Frank's excuse? <img src=

Update from wednesday Sept 19 2007

-1- Geert Ruesink, Karin Weeda Blade F16
-2- hans verhaeghe, gudrun degroeve spitfire
-3- Martien Kooyman, Frank van Marle Bim 16 met Spi 2-up
-4- Bard Louis Lonneke, Stark stealth F16
-5- Robert Feddes. Spitfire
-6- Jaap Haasnoot and son Blade F16

-7- Hans Klok. Blade F16 (planning to come out, reasonable chance)

Paul, make sure you park your boat at Hans place or something. At least not on some public road. It won't be the first time a boat with trailer is stolen.

Well this will be great, probably 8 F16's in this event.
I hope to see you out there, we will be there with a lot of our club members from friday till sunday and we sleep(if we have time for that) at camping

de Quack

on the other side of the dune just a few hundred meters from the beach, that's why our cat will be at the end of the beach.
And if we are not there we will probably be at the clubhouse underneath the bar! Or on the water drifting away on this. (see attachment)
Hope to see and meet you all there.

Hey buddy I am just poking fun at you. In other words, just making fun of what you are saying. NOTHING is serious, learn to relax a bit will you. You are going to blow a fuse over things posted on the net someday. When that happens I will say

Told you so

Robi - I think you're mis-reading Wouter's response. That question mark makes a world of difference <img src=

Okay Paul and everybody else.

It appears Hans chances of coming out are looking good.

Frank is not coming out to this event.

My boat is on the trailer but I won't give any garantees that I'll be there although with Paul coming out I hardly can afford not to come out.

Looking good so far. If weather is decent I may see you guys saterday. If I come I will be there very early in the morning. Think 8:00 am at the latest.

-1- Bard Louis Lonneke, Stark (Stealth F16)
-2- Geert Ruesink, Karin Weeda (Blade F16)
-3- Jaap Haasnoot and son (Blade F16)
-4- Paul Warren, with Ann (Blade F16)

Enlarging our competition with the grandfathered Spitfires

This is news from the latest Ronde Tiengemeten newsletter;

-Weather forecast: 20°C / 4 bft

-It is likely that the limit of 300 boats will not be reached. It is still possible to subscribe.
Cost: 80 euro’s for a 2 person boat and 50 euro’s for a solo boat.
Subscription location near the large parking place

-the RTG(ronde Tiengemeten)was set-up as a performance trek, in which participate should be easy for everybody.
First of all everybody should be able to sail and have fun, but the achiefment will be rgistered.
Therefor RTG does not want to make any restrictions to anyone who want to participate, but RTG rely's on the spotivity of the participants.
This containes that there are classes formed but sailors in that class will not be tested for ther ongoing classrules.
for instance it is possible that there are sailors who on RTG are sailing in the F18 class allthough they are not officially a registered member of that F18 class and don't have an officialy measurement letter of their boat.
Also crew weight is not measured, which would be necessary if this was an official race.
Therefore it is not possible to claim any rights one the outcome of the race.

-Class boats will not be officially registered and therefore the results will not be officially valid for the specific class organisation.

See you there this weekend! <img src=
