Call to F16 sailors: If you have any video footage, send it. If you don't have any, get on the water and get some. We are putting together an F16 promo video and would like to include all types of F16s sailing in a variety of conditions, climates, and continents.

Bump Up the board !

And if the frame ratio is off than downlaod teh file and play it from there. This seems to solve the issue.

hey Doc,

awesome vid. - thanks ! Could you estimate your boat speed , as a percentage true wind speed , at the end of the tape when reaching w/ the kite ( .9 , 1.5,... ??? ) ? Look to be going FAST for described wind velocity...

I had a Kestrel 1000 to check the wind speed but didn't have my GPS to estimate boat speed. I'm quite sure I was going well beyond wind speed (by 1.5x?)as I outran gusts downwind and had to steer back to them. Also, on the raw footage you could hear the chase boat revving to keep up. I'd just be guessing at actual speed though. Next time we get out I'll bring the GPS.

or have the chase boat drive right next to you at the same speed and go off there speedometer. Its a rough guesstimate.
