I've broached this subject before, without success, but I'll offer it up again.

Why can't we standardize a course? We will have F16s sailing at GYC and Pineda Park on Saturday. And the Florida panhandle and in North Carolina in early September. It sure would be nice to be able to compare results.

Last time at GYC, we sailed an

America's Cup

course.

A

- ball to weather and

C

- gate straight downwind. Length of leg was about .6 miles, maybe a little more.

Juanas will be a distance race on day one- pretty much due west then back east. The next day is triangle races with ABC marks.

Hmmmm...Even my math won't make this work. 20 minute weather leg in 8 knots of wind.
