[#23230]

Does anyone have the standard lengths for Taipan 4.9 shrouds? My shrouds were severely damaged in a storm and are so coiled up I can't determine the length. See attached photo.

The boat was stored on the beach and got tangled up with a few others that went flying. The mast did not survive either, but I have a new mast and should be back on the water soon.

Thank, I tried that. Usually Greg is good about replying that but I have not received any replies to recent e-mails on the topic. Maybe he is on vacation or something.

Hi Patrick
This is from the build instructions, that i have from 1994
They say sidestays: 6120mm +GYS 131 adjuster(i think that is there adjuster) 3mm 1x19 wire
Forestay: 5570mm +GYS 133 adjuster
I know when i made mine i measured from the bearings surface of both thimbles.I didn't use there adjusters
Hope this helps

Richard, Thanks.

Someone from AHPC finally did respond since Greg is out.
Their 2004 data for the sidestays says 6015mm

b/s to b/s staymaster to swage eye

(The one eye attaches directly to the Staymaster adjuster)

But a newer spec for 2008 shows

...OR 6120mm for GYS tube adjuster - b/s terminal eye

. So I guess there has been adjuster changes over the years.

Their forestay spec agrees with your comment.
