That is the one brief mention. F18 gets a lot more at the end of the article, and the A-Cat a bit as well. It is recognition, but wouldn't get greatly excited.
And for those who want to see the article, join up to that site! They don't take too kindly to straight copy+paste jobs and would ask this site to remove the thread.
F16s are on the radar, obviously, which is good for us who are interested in the F16s.

Quoting small parts of a copyrighted text is usually allowed in the countries I am familiar with. Reproducing the whole text is usually not allowed. I believe this is also the case in the US where Catsailor.com is hosted. I am sure our friends in the US will advice on the matter if it is a problem.
I believe that RN's statement about US copyright law is entirely correct. The concept of allowing people to quote parts of a copyrighted work is referred to in the US (and presumably in other countries as well?) as
fair use.
Of course, many argue that fair use covers other activities, such as duplicating music from a purchased CD onto one's own MP3 player -- but the fairness of this use has been hotly debated of late, though the debate is becoming less relevant due to restrictive technology which prevents even fair duplication which should be legal.
IMHO, the best practice would be to use quotes such as that above but not to attempt copying whole articles. So I suppose this is really just Yet Another

I agree that if the publisher chose to allow more fair use (lots, actually) it would make good business sense...but just try to convince the RIAA, MPAA, M$, or anyone who wants to personally control the development of a class...in any case, it's the publisher's choice and I'm glad folks here choose to respect it.
That having been said, I think we should all put lots of free information (generated by ourselves) all over this forum. Yes, I'm volunteering but still working on generating something useful. <img src=

TheDailySail is not EMI/Virgin/Sony or whatever, its a very small company who is trying to make a living out of providing yachtsmen with news from the industry, and are quite good at it.
The article to which Wouter was linking was created by a professional, and it is only fair that they get paid for writing excellent work.
If you want to read everything get a subscription (it's not that expensive) so that they can continue to create high quality content.
Go back and look at the photo again. That is one of the best photos I have seen of cats upwind. Very competitive, lots of people and details. Kudos Sander Van Borch.

Sure, and if you followed the link and was a non-member, you would have to join before you could read the whole article. Thedailysail is a good site and worth a subscription, but what was posted here did not infringe on their copyright or other rights and was perfectly OK.
