Dear governing council,

Isn't it wise to update the Formula 16 website with respect to the F16 cup events. Especially announcing that the Singapore part of it is cancelled. Or rather replaced by an event at Zandvoort Netherlands. You never know who is looking at the website and making plans or could make plans for Zandvoort.

The website needs to be kept update on important data like this.

Paul has been asked to update the site in several respects Wouter.
This was done some time ago. However, just like the rest of us, I'm sure that Paul has other demands on his time. I'm sure he'll get around to it shortly.

It's Saturday afternoon here in the UK and I know that Paul is probably having an excellant Blade Blast right at this present time at Datchet with Doc Poulsen from the USA. The wind here at Mumbles is roughly 18mph the sun is out and it's fairly warm 22 degrees. A Club race is due to start at 1800hrs and I cann't wait. Although, launching on an easterly with a 13+ meter spring tide (one of the highest in the World this year) might cause the race to be cancelled. Back to the thread and I'm sure Paul is

thinking

about the F16 Website!!!! (probably in between the howls of delight whilst shooting from one gybe to another) they must be having a ball. <img src=

Well, I did a couple of hours sailing in the very same weather system today.

I felt lazy today and really didn't want to rig the spinnaker. Normally I can't stand sailing without a spi but as the winds were about 12 to 16 knots I felt that I could get by singlehanding with just the mainsail.

So a la an A-cat I went and boy what a beautiful afternoon of sailing ! Loved it.

When like a rocket on the downwinds. The wind was easterly so that means very flat water at my club. 15 knots from the rear and working that mainsail till the rig falls in the groove and then steer steer steer to stay there. Great fun.

Now I'm going to do some website updating myself. Some gallery work

We did manage two races at Mumbles yesterday and I'm I broken man this morning. Short triangular courses. Only eight laps in total but seemed as if the spi went up and down twenty times.
Website updates? Maybe Paul or Doc can tell us how they spent their Saturday afternoon.

Doc and I had a great time at Datchet yesterday, although we didn't actually sail. Very interesting to hear what cat sailing's like over on the west coast. Sounds like there are some great spots, but I'm not sure I could cope without the luxury of mast-up storage. Toby laid on some

entertainment

for us on his Stealth <img src=

Regarding the website - Hans and I have been discussing what needs to go up there. Unfortunately, I simply haven't had the chance to make the necessary changes. I will get to it soon.

No worries Paul. What you've done with the website to date is much appreciated. <img src=

/> If you can make the discussed changes and announcements in the next week or so, that will be fine.

The website is now updated. http://www.formula16.org/

A navigation tab on the left of the homepage will take you to a new section specifically for the 2007 Global Challenge.

Details of the planned week of racing and entertainments will be published there. Also there is a link to an entry form in Word format that we would like people to complete so that we can get an idea of likely numbers of competitors.

On the form you can indicate whether you will be definitely attending/thinking about it. Please be totally honest about this so that we can get a reasonably accurate feel for what is required to make the week work.

If you may be sailing 2-up rather than solo, but don't definitely have a crew please indicate this with either 'TBA' if you will arrange your own crew, or 'crew required' if you would like us to link you up with someone. If the latter case applies then it would be useful if you could indicate somewhere on the form what your weight as helm is.

If you want to race, but don't have a boat and wish to crew, please fill in the form accordingly. If you wish to race but need to charter a boat, again fill in the form and we will see what we can do. No promises though!!! <img src=

Thanks.
