[#18581]

Our class website URL's were offline the last 24 hours and that was my mistake, sorry guys.

I let our URL expire.

So I threw some more money into the URL registration machine and it will now continue to run for another year.

So do you all appreciate the fact that I'm paying some good bucks so that we can have our free membership class here ? Well

we

as in excluding Hans, Paul, Phill and me that is. As they are all keeping this class up by paying the class bills out of their own pockets !

I think this fact is to be well remembered by the whole class. Even though these people are doing it because we love the class so much !

Ouch, good thing it did not get hijacked. That is a very dangerous thing to let happen with any URL or registered name. Today it can be working fine, then tomorow BHAM porn site or search engine.

Thanks for catching it in time and making sure it did not get hijacked.

As far as paying up front, I am more than willing to chip in a few dollars to help offset the cost. I know what it is to fork out own money for a free cause. Been there done that and still doing it!

If anyone has a paypal account where I can transfer some funds into I will be more than happy to do so.

Funding should likely come from each of the F16 regional affiliates. I'll bring this up on this weeks US F16 Governing Council conference call.

If I recall correctly it is the future policy to have the local classes organise the money flow from the local sailors to the international class structure so that global costs, like our website, can be payed. So Robi your support can best be routed that way. I thank you for your quick offer to support us in these very basic costs.

When it comes to transfering funds internationally, Paypal is probably a lot better than bank transfers.. I pay more for the transfer to the ITA than the membership fee is.

I hope I will get the opportunity to buy you a [insert beverage of choise here] at Zandvoort..

Rolf,

I think you coming out with a boat to the Zandvoort event is all the payback I can ever wish for. In fact if you have your boat ready for the event I think that it is I that owes you a beverage of choice. You got alot of work to do over the winter !

I don't pay for the site, Paul Warren does that. I pay for the URL name registration, the www.formula16.org and www.formula16.com

Personally I think Paul fixed us up with the best deal ever. I couldn't wish for more space and bandwidth.

Thanks for the offer though.
