This map thingy is quite interesting

http://www.frappr.com/formula16classgroup

We have welcomed a few people on the map that I was not aware of being F16 sailors.

Examples;

Simon Stannard Northwich, (England) Spitfire
Tim Montague-Jones , Sydney, New South Wales (Australia) - Taipan F16 Aus 099
Peter & Carol Eldridge Dubai, Dubai (United Arab Emirates) - Spitfire #134
Matt in Fairport (NY) USA - Building a Blade F16
Abie Loubser Cape Town, Western Cape (South Africa) Mosquito F16
Holger Siebke Kiel, Schleswig-Holstein (Germany) - Blade F16 on order

I'm still missing Dirk and his Gang in shanghai. Wouldn't it be cool to be the first registered beach cats in China ? And the signapore guys ?

So I'm bumping this post to encourage everybody to place a pin on the map of where they are.

Mind you this mapper is also very handy to decide which location is the best for a regional championship like the Europeans.

England is going strong, with 10 F16 owners on our F16 map now. This plenty to go however, as 40 Stealths are present in the UK.

go to :

http://www.frappr.com/formula16classgroup

To see where we all are.

Currently the counter is at 46 boats and crew (who have put themselfs on our frapper map). But there are still alot more who have not yet signed in !

Our latest arrivals are :

-1- Paul in San Jose Cal USA (Taipan F16)

-2- Andrew & Siobhan Henshilwood Cape Town South Africa (Mosquito F16)

-3- Bill Pepping Melbourne, Australia (mosquito F16)

And

-4 Asim & Omar Saber Karachi Pakistan (A new Blade F16 on order)

Keep them coming boys and girls.

Looking forward to putting some more Europeans to the map.

I have written an e-mail to the guys behind this site and requested to assign administrator rights to me (or anybody else who wants to volunteer for maintaining this site over the coming future)

Hopefully we can solve the issues that way.

Another 3 F16 sailors have added themselfs to our global map :

-1- Ben Kelly, Brisbane Australia sailing a Modified Taipan 4.9 with spi and F16 mainsail ! He also posted a nice picture of himself and the boat.

-2- Gary Smith from Eastbourne UK, he mentions that there are 6 Spitfires at his club I assume he is sailing one himself as well. Great welcome to our Spitfire brethern !

-3- Marc Woudenberg, Rotterdam The Netherlands, Owner of the first ever AHPC Taipan F16 (meaning to full specs, full width selftacker the works! ) Welkom Marc !

We are currently at 49 members on our frapper map. Keep them coming everyone, keep them coming !

One note to all the members on the frapper map. Most of you are also official F16 class members, but some of you are not. Membership is free of charge, but I does give you several benefits. First you can 1 vote per boat in the class ballots. Also we register you location of sailing and use that to point other interested parties at nearby F16 hot spots so we can grow the class. Of course a growing class is beneficial to us all. The class organisation is also using the info provide to better plan new events and to better direct initiatives. You credential will not be used for any spam or frequent e-mailing, nor will you contact info be provided to other persons. If somebody wants to contact you then the class will forward this persons e-mail adress to you can you can decide yourself if you want to reply or not. We are actually quite strickt in protecting your privacy. So please become an official class member of the F16 class. E-mail you application to formula16class(at)hotmail.com

If it's the Gary I know from Grafham, it's a Silver Stealth F16 he is sailing.

Eric, Why can't you just go to "My Home" and edit it and add or change a photo? I have changed my profile a few times.

Eric,

I have acquired administrator rights to the Frapper map.

With respect to your request, we can do two things :

-1- You read the frapper help file and try to log on as yourself and edit your profile; Help = http://www.frappr.com/?a=doc&section=faq#1

-2- I can delete your current profile and comments and you can announce yourself again on the frapper map as a new user with your new profile and picture. Be sure to remember your login credentials afterwards.

Your choice !

Gary Smith from Eastbourne was sailing a Spitfire at the Cat Open at Grafham, as recently as October.

Yes that was me!
Sailing Spitfire at Eastbourne and at the Grafham open.
Sorry for confusion we Smiths seem to get everywhere, didnt know there was another Gary sailing a Stealth though.

Often read this forum in the hope of learning something!

Thought I would put us on the map and give Eastbourne a plug hoping you will come to our Cat Open 29/30 July.
There is always a good fleet of Spitfires 15-20.
I know F16 are a bit different to the Spitfire but I find the 'grandfathered' thing a strange term

Another new addition; up state New York this time

Welcome to :

Kenn N. ; Orchard Park (NY); Taipan 4.9 #226

Has just put himself on out world map at http://www.frappr.com/formula16classgroup

Kenn look to be rather close to Matt in Fairport (NY) who is building himself a Blade F16 together with his friend there. I'm sure they will hook up sometime in the future. This frapper thing is working ! Now you know who else is close-by.
