Emmanuel Cerf has made arrangements with the city for us to launch from Spa Beach and night time security will be provided. In order to get a start at NOOD's we need 6 confirmed players. The dates are Feb. 17th - 20th, who is in?

There are currently 2 F18's registered for noods. We need to have a minimum of 6 by February 6th to race. This event will be a great opportunity to show all the leaners how we do it!

Go here for NOR:

http://www.sailingworld.com/sites/all/files/_attachments_articles/st.petersburg_nood_nor_12_1.pdf

and here to pre-register:

https://www.regattanetwork.com/clubmgmt/applet_registration_form.php?regatta_id=4698

You do not need to pay to preregister. Please get yourselves signed up if you plan to attend.

We have been participating in the NOOD's for the last few years on the West Coast. It has been a good marketing of the class in the San Francisco and the Seattle events. I have to say that there has not been much coming out of the San Diego event as we are relegated to Mission Bay Yacht Club and do not sail where the newly interested parties may sail. I would really like to see us sailing in the South Bay where the I-14s and Vipers sail.

If they are planning on putting catamarans on the same course as everyone else, in St Pete, it will be good for the class. I know that it is a bit more in regatta fees so this will have to be sold as your contribution.

St. Pete NOOD's is wrapping up today. No racing Friday and only one race Saturday due to light wind conditions. It's breeze on today!

Racing is done for the day. According to Beth the final standings are:

1 - JC/Dalton
2 - Taylor/Mathew
3 - Robbie/??
4 - Beth/Karl
5 - Emanuel/??

First F18 St Pete NOOD is in the books. Thank you Emanuel and Karl for helping to make this happen.

So here are the final results:

1. JC/Dalton 3 2 1 1= 7
2. Robbie/Gary Chu 2 1 4 2= 9T
3. Taylor/Matthew 1 3 2 3= 9T
4. Karl/Beth 4 5 3 DNS= 19
5. Tony/Emmanuel 5 4 DNF DNS= 23

I would highly recommend everyone put this event on their calendars for next year!

Also keep an ear out for a new regatta being planned at this same location for the first weekend in December! Sure to be a can't miss event!

Is that going to be in conflict with Steeplechase? Or is Steeple the 2nd weekend in December?
