Only seeing one F18 registered for the Alamitos Bay midwinters regatta... Anyone know how many boats are likely to be there?

We are traveling down to pick up a mast in Watsonville and are thinking about bringing the Tiger to race at this event. How many boats are likely to be there?

Names that will most likely be there:
Dan DeLave
John Williams
Craig Yandow
Jeff Newsome
Pease Glaser
Bill Westland
Scott Miller
Ian Sammis
Mike Kramer

Maybe
Steve Rosenberg
Matt Struble
Jason Moore

Should be good and registration is pretty cheap at $25.

Wetsuit or Drysuit?

You can get away with a good 3/2 wetsuit, but they (along with dry suits and spray tops) are old tech. Go with microfleece and titanium. I love my Zhik SuperWarm Skiff - less weight, no windage.

You're gonna let Ricky play at ABYC? The club will never be the same.

Registered! Now to finish the trampoline and figure out how to get the boat on the mast trailer. Looking forward to a little sailing finally!

That was a really fun weekend - I'm really happy we had such a good start to the season. Hope everyone made it home safely and without incident, including speeding tickets with trailers in the California passes (DAMHIK).

Results and pictures are up on the ABYC website.

Great meeting with the core volunteers for the F18 Worlds following the awards; we're on track for a pretty epic event. <img src="<>/cool.gif" alt="cool" title="cool" height="15" width="15" />

You guys showed no mercy for the weary travelers from the Pacific Northwest. It's always a tough crowd down there. But we love the sand and warm water.
We'll have to see how you guys handle the 55 degree water whilst dodging drift wood. <img src="<>/grin.gif" alt="grin" title="grin" height="15" width="15" />
