Is there anyone looking for crew for the Racine North Americans? My wife and I just bought a Capricorn and are planning to do the event. A good friend of ours is very interested in doing the event as well but is not in a position to buy a boat yet. He has a lot of experience sailing International 14s and owns and races a small keelboat. I'm not sure where to point him to find a ride...

Thanks for any help and I look forward to meeting the class in Racine.

Heath

We've got a couple guys from NE interested if they can find crew.
How much does your friend weigh?

He's about 165 or just under.

BTW, that's in lbs, too, not kgs or stones... <img src="<>/laugh.gif" alt="laugh" title="laugh" height="15" width="15" />

Hopefully that's in the range that a boat with the small sails can possibly still use him, or if there is a boat with the big sails I can tell him to start eating his pork chops! <img src="<>/cool.gif" alt="cool" title="cool" height="15" width="15" />

Hi Heath, I've heard you were planning on coming to Lake City a few times this summer. I live half an hour west of the lake and if you want to meet up, or if you need any help setting up the new boat let me know.

Thanks Karl! My parents live in Lake City and our friend sails out of there, so we'll be there often once we finish our move from CO. We'll be there over the 4th of July weekend and crewing for him in the Pepin Open. We are planning to take our new (to us) Capricorn there that weekend to get some time on the boat, too.

We saw your boat in Longmont a few weeks ago (at least I'm guessing there aren't too many squid-pigs sailing around...). I have some pictures of it I can point you to when we meet up! Nice boat!!

Heath

4th of July is not a real great time to be on the water in Lake City, very busy.
