[#27945]

this weekend there was an F18 event at muiderzand (netherlands) where they used on board camera's, aerial camera's etc to cover the event and make it available on internet. i unfortunately missed the live footage and was looking where i could find a replay.
till now i only found some films with a lot of talking but almost no action.

does anybody know where to find some footage of the real action?

I was there, was really spectacular to watch from the shore since the course was very close.

Looked like a great course and excellent layout to provide exciting racing. Wind was light, which sucked, but you could still see the boats were moving pretty well in the light breeze. I enjoyed watching it, fast forwarded through the boring stuff.

Suggestions:
Get some ads to run during the down times.
Quicker penalty decisions.
Run a

loosers

bracket alternate the final, so that the racing is relatively non stop. Start as soon as the other heat finishes. (would have helped with the camera dismounting and other down time...)
Goes without saying but live highlight editing with replays would make it way more watchable. A good action sequence played over and over gets a lot of time and attention, but the space between isn't as much fun. So, play the fun stuff, skip the boring stuff.
More wind would make it very very exciting!

I think sailing is plenty exciting to watch, just have to record and edit it properly. This was fun for me to watch. Keep doing and it will get better.

Totally cool shots of a compound of 600 cats with wind generators in the background.
