Hi everyone - I have two questions regarding trailering:

1) I'd like to get a nice rear mast support. Either something that fits onto the rear beam and cradles the mast or a removable arm that comes off the back of the trailer. Recommendations?

2) What's the best way to strap down my F18? Every time I do it I try something new and I'm never happy with any of the methods. I have 4 cradles on my trailer so it's supported well, but I'm wondering specifically where to run the tie-downs.

Thanks!

I have the fold down arm on the rear of my trailer. Works well and also provides a measure of security if the straps break the boat can't slide backwards.

I have nylon straps at the 4 corners of the boat crossbars tied to hooks at the trailer.

Thanks Rich - I've tried strapping the boat down around the beams at the 4 corners of the trampoline - there is a small gap at each corner where a strap can fit through - but it always ends up torquing the trampoline itself at a weird angle.

For the mast I use one of these:

which can be bought here and has worked realy well. As for the strapping down I use two straps running front to back over the beams so that I don't get any rubbing on gel coat.

I run my straps through the small gap down to the trailer. Then tighten down just till the straps begin to torque the corner of the tramp. Also with the rear mast support my cat wheels sit on top of the rear of the hulls. The wheel axle hits the mast brace and the tires hit the crossbar. Then i use the ropes to tie the wheels down around the back of the trailer. 3 years on my Tiger and no signs of wear on my tiger tramp from the straps.
