I am new to the F18 and self tacking jib. I have a 2005 Nacra F18. My problem is running the line from the airblock to the jib clew to the traveler car. If I make the line longer the jib wHas a poor shape and wil not adjust (flaps in the wind). However, the longer line allows the jib to furl. If I make the line shorter. The jib has a better shape but he jib will furl one half to three fifths the way. Can anyone shed some light or know the length of the line needed? Any pictures would be gret. Thanks in advance.

We used a snap shackle at the end of the sheet line that attaches to the block. A line with a loop and knot would work well with the new air block. Tie loop in line with a knot in the tail and put loop through the hole in the air block and then put knot through loop pull tight. Make the loop knot big enough so it will not pull through the block on the jib clew. I have not seen a f18 furler where you did not have to undo the sheet line to get the jib to furl all the way.
