I am looking for other sailors experiencing problems with their Fox. My 02' Fox has broken a second dagger board, this one brand new. It broke inside the hull and blew out the entire dagger well and the hull. Hobie Europe says its not a design flaw and not under warranty. Offered me a demo hull and dagger for $2000. I would like to pursue this legally but need others with similar problems. Let me know what your experiencing with this boat. Thanks

Windy,
Perhaps you hadn't noticed, but there are very few "other (Hobie Fox) sailors" out there.
Even a NAHCA press release states there are "about a dozen boats in the NAHCA region."
At least one has been ruined by lightning.

Your lawyer could say that almost 10 percent of the boats in North America are defective.

Typical of a manufacturer with an unsuccessful product, they are not eager to spend money
supporting it.

Good luck.

I have had my Fox since 2000 and havent had any problems,,,its been raced in several regattas in some pretty rough conditions,,,,I've hit a couple reefs with the daggerboards and no problems, other than trimming off a few inches,,,,thing that erks me is the Fox is really a good boat,,,had some bad "press" in the states because of its direct competition with the US I-20...the I-20 is a great boat ,,,but it doesnt conform to the F-20 class rules, beings as theres no f-20 racing in the states,ie bigger main and carbon mast,,,its lighter and faster with the larger sail plan,,,the Fox sailors tried to race boat for boat and just couldnt,,,the Fox is raced a good bit in europe,,,its still a good boat
