INTER 20 MAST PROBLEMS
Wonder if anyone has come across this problem before. We have 3 Inter 20's in my club ( all 1999 models) all three have problems where the mast rotation studs exit the carbon mast. Usually on one side they have moved and created an elongated slot, cutting into the carbon mast wall. This makes the mast leak, gives you different rotation angles on each tack and is a little worrying long-term. Any similar experiences or ideas on repair welcome

Hello Dave
Good to hear from U K catsailors ,-was just looking at some photos from the gallery on the U K Catsailors site - http://www.catamaran.co.uk/
great pic of a submerged N 18 with two on the wire in the fun pic catagory , some good pics of your I-20 as well.
Hope things and racing have returned to normal after the mad cow epidemic previous years which closed down travel in many rural areas. It looks beautiful there , and great place to sail.
We are just attempting to get a F-20 class going here in N A with a little different specs for boats as the I-20s in N A have 15 more sq ft of mainsail area and we have generally lighter wind conditions during summer months when most racing occurs.
Not too many check in here on the F-20 site yet as a result ,-
MAY HAVE BETTER LUCK GETTING A RESPONCE ON THE NEW OPEN FORUM.
My I-20 is 3 also and has a couple Worrell 1000s on it but have not had that problem with the rotator bar ,-I,ll ask around ,seems like Performance would warrenty something like that and have a solution readymade , they are usually good in that regard .
Hope your well on your way to another Club championship this season and having a great time racing.
Take care Dave

I have had my I20 for 2 years....no problem with the rotator. There are about a dozen around here in San Diego, and I've not heard of any others having the problem you described.
You said they were in the UK....could the masts be from a different supplier than the US version?
