I'm in desperate need of an Inter 20 carbon mast. Does anyone know where I could find one? I bought one from Europe, but the shippers broke it on the trip over... devastating I know. I'd be interested in just blanks or even an aluminum mast if it comes to that. Thanks a lot!

I think the alu superwing is a better stick. the original carbon stick that came with that boat is a waste of good carbon, it's heavy and you can't bend it.

X2

IIRC the new aluminum stick is $3,600 with all of the fittings. I think the normal asking price on a used carbon is about that, go AL IMO.

Its also bulletproof, which can be a good thing to those of us who are less than careful with the mainsheet going downwind in a blow.

Ha. That's false. My buddy broke his carbon stick right above the spreaders last year going downwind in a blow with the mainsheet too loose, kite up and running over a couple waves. Mast repaired and like new (it's carbon, that's the beauty), but I agree the superwing mast is a better section. It's the same section as the Infusion, faster upwind for sure and more forgiving downwind. It's equally bulletproof.

Lets not talk about how a carbon masted N20 + EP sails is the same one design boat as an aluminum superwing mast N20 + Performance Sails.

Talked to Todd at http://www.nacra-na.com/contact.html regarding new sails..mentioned replacing my carbon mast with an aluminum mast. Afraid to ask cost...but it is an option. He mentioned that the sails are different. 3K for sales plus a 2-3K for a mast is less than 8k and because of the shape the boat will point higher.
