We sail a Hobie 18 in New Jersey and are looking for a place to sail in the Sarasota/Venice/Englewood area; ideally, a place where boats can be stored on the beach or on a floating dock, or even on the trailer, but with the mast up. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
Peter & Carol

You can try the Sarasota Sailing Squadron. Also, on Siesta Key beach in Sarasota there is a place where many cats are left on the beach. A few weeks ago MN3 wrote about a resort on Long Boat Key that allowed beach storage for guests. Maybe he can respond to this. I live in Bradenton and the authorities do not allow you to leave your boat on the beaches of Anna Maria Island overnight.
Good luck,
Dan
