I posted this on the Farrier yahoo forum, thought I would post here too.
New banging inside or from mast. Happens when the sail gets loaded up in wind. Aluminum mast and it isn't the mast base or gooseneck.
Could it be the main halyard internally? Seems like that would create a rubbing or creeking more than banging. The hounds look fine and it doesn't seem to be coming from the spreaders or diamond wires.
