[#14978]

I just got an email that talked about a new 24, a daysailor type, with a cuddy but not much down below. The part that blew me away was the price: $49,000 for a day sailor?? Is there a market for that?

Does anyone know if it uses the same amas/akas/hull as the 24M2? If any of you 24M2 guys are going to sell your boats to get the day sailor, let me know, I would love to get the regular 24M2.

I saw that too. I guess if you put it next to a Melges it seems affordable.

Check out the Reynolds 33. For all the marketing talk of having accomodations, it's a daysailor, and the tag on that is now $124k. Very fast and nicely made, but for the $ I need to convince the other half. We had a deposit for a long time, but when my wife saw it in person she asked how the accomodations were any different than my 6.0...

Have you checked with Steve Marsh at The Finnish Line?

LAVida in Dallas has an F24MKII as well. They are about 20 minutes from DFW Airport.

What's Lavida's web site? Thanks. Tim (Steve Marsh only has one but it's got bottom paint on it...Bob Gleason has none.)

And...if I were to get a Cat, I would spend about $25-30K on a Stiletto 30 instead of that $125K Reynolds...that kind of money would get you a nice F31R.

Lavida Starship site is www.lavidastarships.com . No bottom paint. Ask for Richard or Shayne. Tell them Thommerrill sent you and you can pay extra...If you want see several F24 MKIIs go to Yachtworld.com. You can select what manufacturer and loa. LaVidas 24 is on this web site along with several others.

Also you might try the FTA or Corsair sites.

I know we're getting off topic. There is a Stiletto 30 for sale on the Stiletto forum, http://stiletto.wildjibe.com

Not a bad price. The 27 is a nice boat too!
