It is time to start getting ready for the next Great Texas! The 2007 Great Texas Catamaran Race will start on Wednesday, June 13th and end on Saturday, June 16th, prior to Father’s Day which is on the 17th. We will be having our annual meeting (conference call) for the Great Texas Fleet on Tuesday, February 27th at 7 pm central. Everyone is invited to join in the conference call. As we get closer to the meeting, I will be sending out dial in instructions.
At the annual meeting, we will be electing officers, setting membership fees, and discussing the upcoming race. Everyone is invited and encouraged to participate and become a member of the fleet. Also, let me know if you are interested in serving as an officer in the fleet. I will be running as Commodore; however, this will be my last year to serve in that capacity.
It should be noted that we decided to delay this meeting one month. We felt that with the race reaching a more mature state, we could start the planning process in late February rather than late January.
