[#28818]

Hello,

I've got crew lined up!! Yay! Boat is waxed and new trap hardware is en route. I'm pumped for the first time in a long time to go sailing.

Trying to find info on the course, all I can find is the 2009 NOR on Dave's personal webspace here:

Is that the right course? I know the start/finish is the right place I just didn't know if we were doing the same course or not.

Thanks!

That's the course Tad. The fleet captian sent me the NOR and the regatta flyer unfortunatly he released the regatta flyer before getting his wife's approval and he hasn't released version:

d@mnit Frank! Fix it

yet. I'll get the NOR posted tonight when I get home from work.

The long course is not engraved in stone and is very weather dependent. If it's cold the course will probably be a bit shorter. As you saw we have a short course version for those that would rather not do the full run. Keep in mind there are two bridges you have to go under on the way there and then again on the way back. They are very clearly marked but you still need to use caution when selecting the span to go through. A small tip, like politics, stay away from the extreme right or extreme left, that's where the nutters go.

Thanks Dave. I'll take the middle 😛

Thankfully I don't sail a Supercat so I feel safe from bridges... plus - my mast is impervious to bridges - remember?

you guys need to announce more stuff outside your circle (as, I'm sure, do we). I'm planning to get out and travel to more regattas later this year and early next year and would like to hit some of the Florida stuff.

Jake, the 2012 events were added to the googledocs schedule... easy enough to figure out a schedule by looking at that <img src="<>/smile.gif" alt="smile" title="smile" height="15" width="15" />

Yeah, you're the second complaint I've received. What makes you think that you weren't excluded on purpose? Do you think Tradewinds was pleasurable for me?

I sure hope he would be more creative than that....and I think he technically needs to beat me first before he can tag me with a derogatory nick name.

To be fair,

punk

is probably the pinnacle of his creative talents. Usually his insults consist of guttural sounds and lots of body scratching...

I see the flyer, but is there an NOR? Will you be using RRS?

Screw it, all you really need is green beer, open it up to Waves, and I'll try to convince my wife to let me go...

Mike

D@mnit you trapped me. Yes there will be an NOR, yes we will use the RRS. Are you going to make me say it?

The NOR is in the approval process and will be published later today or tomorrow.

I penned Ricky as Team Punk and I can GUARANTEE you I can do better for Jake the Roaming Gnome. Let all this simmer a little longer and it'll take care of itself.
Jake, Incredibly weak to try and fold after only a couple of races with Ding, but I will give you kudos for the b**chslap you gave him about not beating you yet, so apparently you really aren't conceding.Make up your mind. Wuss or smacktalker?

Hold on there a minute Mr. Stay at Home Smack Talker. The score is 2-1 the shutout has been denied. Now that we have the record straight please carry on.

I beg your forgiveness, I had no idea you'd actually beat him.

You know what bugs me... a certain somebody privately pisses in my ear about not being invited then when they not only get an apology and multiple invites they still don't preregister. The only thing I can take away from the exchange is Goran is in town and the thought of the carbon fiber wonder boat getting beat by a heavy, slow, dead boat would be tough to explain. Yep, an old fat and skill challenged skipper is calling you out( I know how insulting, the nerve). Don't bother calling my cell, if you have something to say you can say it here, I dare you!

Jake, I bet you thought I was talking about you for a second didn't you? It's not always about you, geeze a guy wins a couple of races and...
