It is a great place to sail - dependable sea breeze, protected water, great beach and amenities. The best advice I could give would be to schedule a few days before and after to enjoy the area (don't rush in, race and then rush out).
Also this year the Round The Island is the weekend after !
I can't wait. I'm registered and getting the boat ready. Look for my Nacra 5.2 with the large skull and crossbones on the sail. No sail number. Let's race! I upgraded this year from a Hobie 14 to a 5.2. It should make for a shorter day on the distance race to Pensacola and back.
Unless your crew goes gorilla on the Cunningham and rips you main in half 🙂 In all fairness he did warn me. Nothing worse than having your crew say... told you so grandpa!

Nope. I blew my racing budget on the Worlds in Newport, and with two more kids starting college in two weeks, I doubt I'll have a racing budget for many years to come.
I'm thinking of going to a paddleboard...if I can afford one!
dude. coast guard and military both offer college tuition. sign them up and use the money you save to get your F31

There's enough F242 over here to make a fleet at CHR. 1 in punta gorda, 3 in Naples, and 1 in Ft. Myers if memory serves.
