I have a 1990 Nacra 5.8 , been sailing for a year on the Chesapeake Bay in Virginia Beach VA. Thinking of upgrading from 6:1 blocks to the 8:1 Harken .1) is it worth the 450 $ ? 2) will i see any performance gain from the upgrade ? ( still learning , be easy on me )

$450?

We can do a lot better than that! Yes, the ratio advantage is definitely worth it on the 5.8.

Give us a call or drop me an e-mail.

Basketcase, we understand

you

have an aversion toward Harken products. The fact is that for your opinion there are a thousand other sailors that like them. With the thousand to one opinion poll what else can be said? We do not say you are wrong in your opinion. We respect that you can voice it without reservation in the face of such overwhelming contrast from so many others. For the rest of us Harken is the only choice, 8:1 is a great purchase ratio.
