The Transat started today, from Plymoth UK ending in Boston USA.
The only Cat in the fleet is Yves Parlier's Radical biplane rigged planing hulled 60 footer. My money is on him, I would love to see something this radical win, especially after the Team Phillips biplane disaster in "The Race".

Yves Parlier started late because of water in his electronics, and last night? hit a log and broke off part of one semicircular daggerboard. Yves cat current speed reported 9 knots while Geant way out in front is doing 17 knots. They are almost 1/5 of the way across the Atlantic already!
