Bob Hodges may post a wrap-up on SA. Results from this event are star studded, to say the least.
The images in the slideshow lead a viewer to assume there might have been only one race committee boat. The winds can be steady enough there, but ... ? I hope it warms up down there in a couple weeks.

ps - it was 80+ and blowing 25 on Sydney Harbor. Spent a great day out sailing with some new friends. Unfortunately hopping on a flight tomorrow and heading for the great white north - Chicago Boat Show - :{(

Mike, did you see the Double Bay Sailing Club in Sydney? They have a big Laser fleet that races on Saturdays and on Sundays they race 18' skiffs out of there.
There were lasers, skiffs, maxi's, handicap boats, etc. 4 different regattas, and probably 200+ boats on the water.
To top it off we sailed out through the heads and into the pacific.
I tried to convince the owner that we had enough beer for a run to Hobart, but he wouldn't go for it...
Two regattas in one. 23 boats racing in the first event that got nine races off in 2 days in 10-15 knots. 25 boats racing in the second event that started with only one race in 19-23 knots with a very bumpy sea state. Next day was a blowout as the front passed through but we wrapped up the final day with three beautiful races in a puffy/shifty 8-12 knots and flat water, great racing with lots of lead changes.

Next event in the Florida winter series is the St. Pete NOOD in mid February followed by RONSTAN Midwinters at Davis Island Yacht Club in late February followed by the Admirals Cup at Gulfport Yacht Club in late March. Good training for the upcoming North Americans in North Carolina in mid June that already has 42 boats pre-registered.
