A peek at our new website
We're working on a new website in preparation for the Tybee 500 this year...we'll be testing some of it this weekend at the Tradewinds posting when we get opportunities (keep in mind that we're sailing - so there won't be any news from the water...we haven't worked out that technology yet - but I'll be damned if we aren't close with this new site). You can get to the new temporary home of the test site from the front of our main site or by going to here. It's not fully ready yet but hopefully will be informative.

Thanks for the comments guys...the flikr thing is a test and I'm not sure how I like it. I need to get home and sit down with a broadband connection to see how I can customize things there. I don't like hosting photos off the website - and they have some pretty small limits on bandwidth so I'll probably look for something that I can host locally and integrate to the site.
I'm jealous of your wordpress mojo jake.
my wordpress site is lacking compared to yours....
Tad,
No doubt - great write up...I need to get Bonnie back to work on our site.
And for those without the link, it's www.velocitysailing.com
Kudos on the race summary. Being somewhat of a light air sailor myself, I can sympathize with racing in conditions of 20 knots or better. Definitely a steep learning curve to those conditions.
Forgot to check, but do you have your 2006 sailing schedule posted yet?
If not, I'll keep an eye out for ya'll at the Jensen Tybee 500 stopover...
Jay
Jake,
The website [url= http://www.teamseacats.com/wordpress/ ] is on the money. I got a good feeling that the blue N20 will be looking great come Tybee time. I wish I was able to help, but it looks like I might just get in your way. I'll just head back to the gym now and keep starving myself for May.
Thanks again,
Frank
FYI: to anyone looking to overhaul a boat - I think Jake is putting on a clinic at the Seacats website.
Thanks Frank!
If any of you have bookmarked the temporary home of the test site at www.teamseacats.com/wordpress/ please note that it has moved to the main http://www.teamseacats.com/ directory. The boat work continues....
Jake, The web site is looking great! Very cool documentation of your work on the boat! WOW! Would you consider a link on thebeachcats.com? Would be great to have your work in the archives there! I got a good feeling about you and Frank this year! Keep up the great work!
Brian,
Thanks for the encouragment! By all means, link away anywhere you feel like it. Our hosting account was recently upgraded so we've got tons of bandwidth. I'll probably pull the site down tonight for, at most, an hour while I try to sort out my directory problem. It should be back later tonight.

I think it was John that shared this tidbit from his experience with Team Tommy Bahama. I will have graphics on the starboard side of the boom that say in bold letters "DON'T DO IT.", "JUST SAY NO!", or something like "OFFSHORE = BAD".
