Alexander's Cup GPS downloads

A little woozy? I think I'd be too. I'm just glad we never went over.

I remeber seeing Dan when he got off the water on Sunday. I asked him what he thought and he replied,

Never Again!

(....Ah, he'll be back.)

The GPS downloads are neat. We did not carry a GPS or a compass to the tower.

I'll have to put those tracks in the newsletter. Can you send me them?

Thanks for the view of your track. Can you please tell me what program you used. It looks like mapsource; I have that too. How did you convert to an HTML document? Also, do you remember how to change the color of the track. Yours shows in yellow.

Chart is from Mapsource which is pretty basic and does not allow very much customization or manipulation. The track turns yellow when you select it using the selection tool. I captured the screen using a great program called Snagit (available online http://www.techsmith.com/products/snagit/) and downloaded into a bitmap which I then pasted into a html document using Excel.

That was very clear. I tried to do something like that and ended up printing the mapsource file and then scanning it and saving it as a jpg. Since then, my crew Bill Mattson told me about a way to grap a screen image to use with any graphics progam.

You simply hit the

print screen

key and then go to your graphics program and right click or choose edit. From there, choose either paste or create new file from clipboard. You will get a nice image of the screen where you chose

print screen.

If you don't like the looks of the

windows

border, simply edit it out.
