If so, What is the best route to go?
How long does it take?
Anyone want to make the trip at the same time? (we are starting down on Jan 11 in the morning, and actually coming from slightly west of Kingston, Ontario.

dave,

We've got two vehicles that will be hitting I-95 (around Savannah, GA) on the 15th but I imagine you guys will already be there by then.

Two ways to go:
1) I-81, I-83 to Baltimore (be sure to take Beltway bypasses around both Baltiimore and Wash.), I-95 to Wash, DC, I-95 the rest of the way.
2) I-81, I-77, I-26, I-95 to Key Largo. This route is very scenic and you will miss all the traffic of Baltimore and Washington. The only bottleneck is Charlotte. The distance is about the same.

Warning about Miami: DO NOT continue on I-95 through Miami or you will end up with miles and miles of city, stop-and-go traffic with lots of lights.
DO cut over to the Florida Turnpike somewhere before Miami (either Ft Pierce, Jupiter, or I-595 in Ft Lauderdale, then take the Turnpike Extension to Florida City.
We have pretty extensive directions on the NORs linked from the catsailor.com welcome page.
