Skippers and crews from the Carolinas, Georgia, and Tennesee be aware that the qualifier for the 2004 Alter Cup is fast approaching. The dates are September 27, 28th, and the site is Columbia Sailing Club, Columbia South Carolina. The event will be held on Lake Murray and will part of the Outback Cup Regatta. All participants qualifying will have to be members of US Sailing, and will have to be on a stock boat with no modifications out of class legal restraints. This regatta is hosted by the SEACATS, US Sailing, Columbia Sailing Club, Lake Murray Yacht Racing Association, and the Outback Steakhouse. Note that the official sailing instructions will be posted a little later, and the NOR at the CSC website will be modified for Alter Cup Participants. You do not have to be sailing for the qualifier to participate in this regatta, nor do you have to be a member of US Sailing or NAHCA, but both are strongly encouraged to further our sport.
