Austrian Tornado Sailor Drowned
The Princess Sofia Trophy ended in tragedy when Johannes Haeupl (AUT) drowned, apparently getting caught under the hull of his Tornado, on the last day of racing in Palma.
Racing was consequently stopped for the day, and the closing ceremony was cancelled as sailors mourned the loss of their fellow competitor.
