Hello Sailors,

We now have 50 boats registered for the 8th Buzzelli Multihull Rendezvous with the 35th Stiletto Nationals scheduled for Oct. 17-19, 2014. We have confirmed Stiletto, Corsair Sprint 750, Weta, Windrider, PHRF Trimaran and Portsmouth classes.

We plan three days of racing for the larger boat fleets (Stilettos, PHRF Trimarans and Catamarans): Friday distance race in Gulf of Mexico and Saturday/Sunday buoy racing in Sarasota Bay with all finishes scored. We also plan buoy races in Sarasota Bay the weekend only geared towards the smaller multis (A-Cat, F18, F16, Portsmouth, Wave, Weta, Windriders, etc.). These smaller multis are welcome to race for fun with the larger boats in the gulf on Friday (weather permitting).

We are rapidly approaching the Oct. 5 deadline for $20 discount registration, so spread the word and get your fellow sailors to sign up by this weekend.

To compliment on the water fun, we have great food and entertainment planned for the weekend including bagels for breakfast each morning, chowder/chilly/rum-bar with movies on Friday night, a gourmet dinner with the band Main Street Station and raffle for great prizes on Saturday night, and snacks offered during the award presentation.

Additional information, NOR and registration at http://www.regattanetwork.com/event/8325.

As race chairman, please contact me for any additional information or if you would like to volunteer to help make this a memorable event.

Look forward to seeing you at the 2014 Buzzelli Multihull Rendezvous,

I'll be there, we've got a fleet of 5 Hobie 16's sailing. This will be our first Buzzelli for the Hobie 16's, looking to try and grow our visibility at this event.

It was great to see all you guys again, but we need more wind! That bobbing around for two hours really sucks!

Perhaps we should have an

Outboard Motor Race

class? Max hp. of 4!

which begs the question: Does a high-aspect squaretop benefit higher DPN boats? Or only those light, high-performance, low DPN sportboats?
