2016 will be the 60th anniversary of the Shearwater catamaran. We are inviting all owners of any Shearwater built in the last 60 years to come and celebrate the Diamond Jubilee for a week of racing and great socials at Harwich Town Sailing Club Essex UK CO12 3EJ from 5th to the 9th of August 2016. Any boat entered with a sail number less than 1981, or, any one whose home club is outside the UK will get FREE entry!

My first year of sailing was on Sharks, and there were several regattas where the Shearwater was very popular.., Hamilton, Ontario for one.
Hey, they are all fun and boats like the Shearwater and Shark led us down the road where we are.

You should check the website or Facebook the boat has come along way and managed to stay current! I remember when sailors used to joke about the spinnaker tube now they all have!! It's good to see both the Shark and the Sherwater alive and well.
