that answers my question.... where was Carolijn in the N17 medal hunt.... she was a top 10 helm in the Tornado class.

Nice post though. She was very fast at Catacup two years ago sailing with Jerome and also in the top 20 at F18 worlds in long beach. But the nacra 17 class is a lot more competitive than the F18 and I think the f18 is a bit more competitive than the tornado was. There are just more full time sailors and sailors coming from other classes that are much more disciplined and natural sailors than many of life long cat sailors.
You do realize that her husband is in the Olympic hunt on the N17?
<****... heroic story of the unknown, dark horse sailor, who fights the odds, battles the hardships, works three jobs and trains at 5 AM and goes to the Olympic trials as an unknown and WINS... and so this proves that they had more discipline then the other guys... cough cough...This is just Hollywood fantasy land told to us time and again by the flacks on TV with every olympic sport.. Or we make this story up.. .... well..... we would have won a medal except the other guys use pros.... After you wrap the guy in american flag and a great story ...the fantasy becomes fact. It was extraordinary DISCIPLINE that won the medal.
(Oh... ... I thought Caroljn had stayed with their kid and was running a sailing business not having paid close attention)
