I have a 20' cat and would like to sail Chesapeake Bay this summer, but I don't want to set-up and tear-down the boat everytime I go (I live outside of Philly which is 90+ mins away).

Does anyone know where cat sailors keep their cats in the northern part of Chesapeake Bay? I know there is a lot of sailing/racing in Gunpowder State park, but don't know if (or where) people keep their boats.

Thanks!

Hey Bill. Check out the West River Catamaran Racing Association or WRCRA, whichever comes first at http://wrcraorg.ntitemp.com/csf15_main.html

Mast up storage and LOTS of racing. Great club.

You can check out Galloway Creek marina (or something like that) which is at the mouth of the Middle River. Bowely's Quarters marina is just around the corner and may work for you as well. They used to have about 10 cats on the property at Galloway

The next location is Podickory Point Yacht Club at the mouth of the Magothy. Basically right next door to Sandy Point State Park.

That's about it from what the active sailors know.

Take Care
Mark

ps check out the CRAC web site for all of the club and regatta info. www.sailcrac.com
