Unbelievable comeback by the Patriots!!! WOO HOO!!!

My son Corey (6) ran the length of the field to score a touchdown in his first ever flag football game earlier this afternoon (which his team won by one point)!!! WOO HOO!!!

Just 3.5 months left until Madcatter and sailing season! WOO HOO!!!

No alcohol, just had to get that out there, LOL...

yes, it is very difficult to watch TV when it's sunny, 75 F and blowing 10-15 with a light chop (in warm water)...

Trying to get my outboard serviced in time to make the night sail/race this coming weekend.

I here you. Generally speaking, I don't watch sports, especially in the daytime. I'd rather be outside doing something, especially sledding with the boys (we need snow, this season has been a dud so far).

I watch no TV during sailing season, took the TV out of the RV almost a decade ago, haven't missed it at all.

During sailing season, the only thing I feel the need to watch is an occasional Red Sox game, especially if they're in the playoffs. That, or a Bruins playoff game. But, that's why there are bars...

That was a crazy Super Bowl, the Pats played both their worst game in the first half, and their best game in the second half, with 31 unanswered points. They never even held the lead.... until that final play.

I was going nuts when they were down 28-3, I nearly turned it off and went to bed. But why were the Falcons throwing the ball when all they had to do was run it twice and kick a field goal, to put the game out of reach?

I think the Falcon's coaching gave that game away with those types of bad play calling vs the Pats taking the game away. The Pats were able to stop the run in the second half, maybe that's why the Falcons were throwing, but all the Falcons had to do was work the clock, they seemed to forget how to do that.

I watched the first half, and fully expected them to lose. The third quarter didn't give me any real reason to expect otherwise.

Something happened by the fourth quarter, I remember wondering why the Falcons weren't pressuring Brady like they did in the first half.

Being a life-long Boston/New England sports fan, I watched the rest of the game just waiting for them to blow it. I was getting ready to be disgusted at them for getting my hopes up, then not making the last touchdown or two-point conversion to tie it.

Then, I expected to lose the coin toss, and to be watching Atlanta march down the field and end it within 45 seconds of OT.

I'm still in shock/denial that it's over and they won. When the announcers started looking at the replay of the final TD, and asking if White actually made it across, I thought it would be reversed. The replay showed that he was in, which was good, because the field was covered with people celebrating by that point. Not sure that they could have reeled that back in...

I've been a Falcons fan since I can remember. Our defense is young and hasn't demonstrated the ability to make the difference in a tight game - so they try not to keep the game tight with the offensive play calling. They've maintained that aggressive play calling through the last half of the season and it's served them well up until that point - but, yes, that really wasn't the time to do it when you were in field goal range with a shot at icing the game. Our offense has also been so efficient that it hasn't given our defense a breather. I've always thought time of possession was a pretty meaningless stat until this year where being so fast to score means your defense doesn't get much of a break.

The talking heads on Sports Center today were saying the ATL defense was gassed at the end, due to being on the field about 42 minutes out of 62. But James White had a heck of a game, 3 TD's, and the two point conversion of course. I never believed they could come back from being down 28-3 in the third Q but hey, that's why the play the whole game, not just the first 3 quarters!

Ironically, it's usually the Pats who take the fourth quarter off after establishing a lead earlier in the game.

Atlanta is going to be a tough team to beat if their offense continues to work like that. Like you said, they're almost too fast!

Other than not rushing Brady more at the end of the game, I don't fault them too much for their play calling. Field goals aren't guaranteed, and most teams will always want to get closer, or maybe get a shot at another touchdown. I think we're seeing a lot of Monday morning quarterbacking on ESPN, etc.

I agree and I made the same comment a few weeks ago and it fell on deaf ears. How is bumping up inactive threads any better than spam threads? Its worse because at least we know not to read

cheap jersey

threads....

Just about three months to go until Madcatter!

Getting ready for seminar season. That's my personal wake-up call that sailing season is approaching.

I usually attend an RC seminar, a judge workshop (if available), and on the rule-book-change-years, a North U tactics seminar. That, and I typically judge/umpire some college regattas. All of these things prep me mentally for racing season.
