Just curious what’s the going rate on a new and a used F16? It’s random inquiry looking a few years down the road.

Thanks

US? Most likely since you used

soccer

in your screen name.

$16-17K new (Falcon & Viper), you can go higher with upgrades.
$8.5K is the lowest I have seen recently. I have yet to see a Falcon or Viper on the resale market other than dealer charters.

BTW, Congrats on being the 5000th CS member! I checked profile to see if I could confirm your location.

Yes in USD, I am currently living in Richmond, Va and sail out of Gwynn's Island on the Chesapeake. Until your post had no clue I was the 5000th member haha. I usually don't post but lurk atleast once a day.

OK! It is a possibility you'll be able to pick up a used F16 via our club when you are ready. WRSC has 9 F16s and 2 prospects in the making within the next year.

West River Sailing Club is not

local

to you but if you are ever interested in sailing one, give me call. We also have an open house (opportunity to sail an F16) Saturday, June 5th (A-Cats, N20s, F16s...and FS, Albacors, Chesapeake 20s, 5O5s, and Lasers will also be there) and the 7 Uni F-16s are looking to host crew on June 6th for the Galesville Heritage Race (casual steeplechase) as a way to introduce the F16s to prospective sailors.

There are other regattas and races listed on our website. One race that is not listed but I hope to participate in this September 25th at Virginia Beach is Neptune's Regatta. VB does a great job for the family with a whole sort of activities. The race is off the beach between Rudee's Inlet and 24th St.

BTW, WRSC F16s are very social and easy to race with regardless of experience.

Good Luck,

I just looked in the Classified section (click link upper right on this page) and there are 3 Tai Pan 4.9's (F16 compliant) listed between $7,500 and $9,600. All have trailers and spinnakers.
