Looking for some help on repairing cracks along Hobie 16 hulls, please read on if interested or if you've dealt with this before...

I've got original hulls from my '79 Hobie 16, and I have a couple of cracks in one of them that are along the keel and about 1-2 inches each. I can feel them when the boat is up on the trailer.

After about an hour of sailing, I'm pouring out a steady stream for about 4 minutes...

I know this will probably take a serious repair to do correctly, but I'm looking for advice on how I can do this myself to get me through the rest of this summer/September. After that, I'll look into getting a fiberglass expert to price out refinishing the bottoms for me.

Any ideas or links on what to do? I figure it'll involve some resin, possibly some fiberglass or something like bondo, but would appreciate any help on this as I have no experience. Thanks for you help!!!

Cheers,
Rob
