I couldn't resist this. See the attachment for a sailing foiler. I think this is some of Jake's engineering.

Jake, What did you get? I was just berading(?) my brother for buying a Catalina 22, instead of a Hobie 16! It will take him two days to sail the 14 or 15 miles out to Martha's Vineyard, when we can go out just for lunch! I hope you have some nice accomodations in the cabin!

It's a Hunter 23 that will stay at the lake for lazy cruising with Bonnie and friends. I bought it from David Mosley (who I sailed the Tybee 500 with). I figure it may be a different way to break new people into catamaran sailing! I definitely still have my 6.0 and am investigating adding a Hobie 17 to my personal fleet so I'm still certainly a cat guy.

Hobie 17? OMFG.

Don't make me spend all my hard-earned money making mine class legal just so I can have the opportunity to woop yer butt

We'll see. I've got LOTS of crap to fix on mine to make it near class legal 😛

like, getting rid of the jib and getting a class-legal boom

That 17 was on loan from Tommy Craft.

Jake, The Hunter sounds like it could become an auxiliary club house for your fleet! I think you should get the 17 with a double stack trailer, pick up Tad on your way, and come up for 448's Island Hop 8/14/04! It should be cooler up here! No mast up boat storage, but a nice waterfront lawn to park the motor home on...
