I have another big concern regarding my cat modification:
As I described in my previous post I replaced the wooden plateau (deck) with the fabric trampoline, because it was damaged.
The plateau weighed at least 90 pounds or more (it was very heavy).
The new fabric trampoline weighs about 6 pounds.
Will this reduction in weight affect the cat's fore-aft stability?
Is the possiblity the cat capsizes - flips forward - now greater?
This cat has never been capsized in her life; even though his previous two owners were known to be wild sailors. Probably after capsize the cat could not be salvaged due to storage area (not water-tight) and mast not sealed.
On the pic there can be seen where I'll put my new trampoline and the old wooden plateau can be seen in the back.

I'll go out on a limb and say that you've improved things, not hurt them. With that much of a weight drop, the boat should accelerate easier in the gusts, and the hulls should ride higher in the water reducing drag and keeping the bows higher. I would take the time to add some gaskets to the hatches and seal the mast it you're sailing the boat in a way that capsizing is possible...
