John and Carla of Coconut Grove Sails are putting up a perpetual trophy for A-Cats. The event will be an Annual-type, sailed in the Florida Keys in November of each year.
This year's event will be the First Annual A-Class Coconut Grove Classis to be held at Rick's Place Motel and Sailing Resort in Key Largo, FL and will be held November 13-16.
This affords those northern A-Class friends of ours to tote their boats south for the winter to enjoy many of the other events offered to them, such as:
1)Annual A-Class Coconut Grove Classic
2)Tradewinds Midwinter Open Cat Nationals and A-Class Midwinter Nationals, Rick's Place Motel & Sailing Resort, Key Largo, FL
3) Miami Olympic Regatta, Biscayen Bay, Miami Yacht Club, Miami, FL
And there are many numerous other events hosted by CABB (Catamaran Assn. of Biscayne Bay) during the winter.
