a loose confederation of gentleman will be having a casual race up the coast this saturday, august 21st. we'll meet up at the big red buoy in front of ventura harbor at 11:00 a.m. course maps will be provided and we'll have some festivities at the launch ramp after everybody finishes. there's no committees, sanctioning, sponsorship or leadership, just a bunch of fools who like to go fast and get wet. show up and have fun, eh?
What a great day that will be! Especially like the "no meetings, sponsors, and let's eat!" attitude!
I would also be out there but as you are sailing, I'll be riding my bicycle in the Cool Breeze Century from Ventura Harbor to Montecito and back (100K--62 miles). Just me and 1500 of my closest friends! I'll stumble over to the ramp if I'm able after finishing to join you guys and hear the stories.
