I just purchased all new standing rigging for my hobie 18. On the mast tang I have the side stays and the harness lines on the top hole. on the lower hole I have the forestay. anybody have any idea how its suppose to be from the factory?

If my memory serves me correctly, the large bow shackle holds the side stays and forstay. The upper smaller bow shackle slips thru the middle hole and the trapeze wires then go on each side of the tang. The bow shackel pin then goes thru the upper hole. Check the recent Hobie catalog, that may help.

I sure had that wrong!!! The pic help a lot. I bet there are a lot of 18's out there that are rigged wrong. Pay close attention to the top shackle in the pic! it goes thru the top and 2 hole. never would have guessed that.
