There should be some healthy competition for this race. Jill Nickerson and Robbie Daniel posted this on the Tampa Bay Catsailor's forum:

We have 3 boats in for an F18 training camp and I believe all will be participating....We have 2 Caps, 1 infusion and 2 A cats....and a partridge in a pair tree. We have an additional Cap on the 31st.....we are going to be practicing starts out there on the 31st and invite anyone to join in.

The conditions should be fantistic! The forecast is for sunny skies, air temps in the low 70's, water about 70, and winds out of the east at 10-15. Another perfect racing day, another harsh winter day in sunny Florida. <img src="<>/grin.gif" alt="grin" title="grin" height="15" width="15" /> <img src="<>/grin.gif" alt="grin" title="grin" height="15" width="15" /> <img src="<>/grin.gif" alt="grin" title="grin" height="15" width="15" />

You can always check realtime conditions from a station at the end of the Clearwater pier.

Sorry Mike, I plan on winning the B Fleet on my

new

Nacra 5.0. Thanks for asking, though. I'd like to see some of those F18 guys taken down a notch by a well-sailed Mystere. Good luck!

Looks like the wind is piping up a bit with the forecast now for 10-20 ENE, water and air at 70. Perfect for a 30 mile day.
