question. How do you properly mount a masthead wind vane/anemometer on a rotating mast? Wouldn't that screw up the TWD reading if the mast were rotating over on each tack?

I believe that there are adapters (more money) for rotating masts.

how bout one of then high tech orange tapes on a pole that mounts to the mast?

would that indicate true wind direction? I was toying with Pete's idea of a polar graph for things like the F-boats, Seacarts, and such which all have rotating masts.
