The 2016 Hiram's Haul is a two-day
river run
in the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway that consists of two 30 mile distance races on Saturday and Sunday between the Melbourne causeway and Sebastian.
The race is organized by SSPUSA (Sail Series Promotions USA) and all official information and registration for the race is on their new website.
SSPUSA is also the organizers of the Florida 300 which is scheduled for May 2-6, 2017.
I'd emphasize that this is one of the best races to get started in the distance/endurance type racing.
Protected waters, easy logistics, and straight line sailing.
Might reach out to some of the local youth programs to see if any are interested in stepping up... heck, some of those 420s and laser radials rate about the same as an H16 non-spin, right?
