I'm a new Hobie 16 owner and am hooked silly. My girlfriend is pressuring me to book one of those "all inclusive" vacations in mexico or the caribeean? and I would love for there to be be coincidently a hobie rental place with great winds either at the resort or next door. All input is desired, but it can't seem planned, then it's my vacation and that's not good. Cabo or Cozumel and Puerto Valarta sp? are in the front running for her choice. help?
Just make sure that when you do plan it, or book it. Make sure they have watersports. Specifically sailing. You should be set.

A heard quite a few good comments on their Cancun resort.
Otherwise Stickl at the British Virgin Islands (now mentioning it, it sounds not suitable for taking your girl?)

The resort where the 16 Worlds were held last year (Mayan Riviera - across the strait from Cozumel) had 16's and Waves. Most resorts use Waves since they are bulletproof.

Biggest let down will be the time limits. Waves at the Barcello were the only rec item the had a time limit on them, because they were so popular. Lots of places in the Cancun region have them.
The Barcello was an incredible place and a really fun place to sail. The have a large bay that is somewhat shallow. Waves come in and peak all the way in (sometimes breaking). You sail out jumping and come back in surfing. REALLY fun!
Sunsail has a locale with small boats...cats & monos. Friends have stayed there and gave it rave reviews
