SAY IT AIN'T SO! Sorry to hear that! I can't wait to hear the story. My 6.0 suffered a similar fate with another sailboat recently and we're working on two new hulls.

Eric and Jake, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your boats! On the other hand, I am very glad you weren't seriously injured! Eric, I await the story with great interest. Jake, you still have a few weeks to make the trip north for Fleet 448's Annual Island Hop on 8/14/04! Hook up the 17 to the motorhome, grab Bonnie, and get up here! Rick Bliss should be here, and with luck maybe Chris and Nate Titcomb. Maybe you can pursuade Dave to bring the Inter! Anyway, I wish you could be here for it, and really wish you guys luck with your boats!

Eric, man that 20 was shiny, how could anyone run over such a pretty thing? Glad you're okay, and hope to see you at the Tradewinds next year!

Brian, Island hop is a little too soon for me to plan, but I would LOVE to get up there and sail with you guys! What other regatta's are coming up? We have the Outback Regatta here in October, maybe we can reciprocate fleet participation.

Dave, Here's the remaining schedule:8/22/04 Megrews Cup, Quonset Point, RI; 9/4+5/04 Block Island Sail Days, Roy Carpenter's Beach, Matunuck, RI; 9/25/04 Fall Fun Day at Quonset Point. There are also Regattas in N.H. and Conn. but I've never made it to those, and don't expect to this year. I will try to make a point of getting you a schedule as soon as they are out next year! I don't know what the future will hold for Fleet 28, But they canceled The Buzzard as a points Regatta this year due to lack of staff. Instead they had an informal distance race. See my post... If it survives 'til next year it would be a great event to get you guys up for! I wish I thought I'd be able to escape, and take you up on your invitaion this year, but my senior sitting duties make it almost impossible to get away for a weekend. Next year! Brian
