Is there a place to get out of the sun? It's normally very hot on the point in July! I'm there if the

Fab5

show up!!! <img src=

They're sailing out to the island with me on my Corsair. Have fun on your I-17!

What's the distance to Horn Island ? What's the distance around Deer island. In other words how much sailing do you get in and what are the average conditions? Looks like fun.
Thanks,

For you, my friend, the 14-mile trip to the island will seem like a coffee break. <img src=

If you tack a lot and venture far from the rum line you could make it a 20 mile leg easy! <img src=

/> Otherwise like John said around 14 or 15 miles. Easy 50 mile weekend!

Distance to Horn, more-or-less following the channel, is 11nm

Distance around Deer is more like 17nm

These as the crow flies.

I'm not crossing the finish line all alone because I was LAST!

*sigh* Glory days - Seriously, the Horn Island race, the CCC and the OSYC are the key ingredients in a fun July.
